i read these threads and there are a few that bend over backwards to say why wts is correct on this issue or that issue.. they act like typical jw's that refuse to acknowledge points that may show that wts is not following the scriptures or that wts goes beyond the scriptures in a way that is not supported by others.. the point could be the blood issue or shunning or whether 1799 or 1914 was the start (or finish?
) of the last days or whether there is a faithful and discreet slave class or not.
i don't want to harp on each point.
Of course the WTS doesn't want any of its members to come to web sites like this for the obvious
reason that sites like this tells the real truth in an unbiased way about the JWS organization.
This indirectly puts cracks into their established kingdom which they sit upon and control.
I'm very glad that the inter-net is here making this kind of information available to the general public
and to people who are involved with this organization.
i looked over the aug. 1 public watchtower and noticed the same changes i observed previously.. plainly put, it appears that they have simply run out of things to say and so are just filling up printing space!.
they devote 4 full pages to a bible reading schedule that could have been easily condensed into a couple sentences.
they have the same large graphics and typeset that eats up printing area.
The less they say the less they can be scrutinized in the media like the inter-net, yes the inter-net
is changing how the Watchtower Society operates and conducts itself.
Obviously they didn't have this problem in the past.
The boys in Brooklyn are nervously cowering into a corner trying to keep themselves looking truthful and viable.
some of the memorable moments today would be:.
1) the nutty mother on stage with her little boy who became an unbaptized publisher at 6. i missed his current age, but he was a tiny little kid, couldn't be much older than a couple years over 6. tomorrow he gets baptized.
2) the husband and wife couple who work part-time to pioneer, but wanted to do more so they sold their home, down-sized to one car and made other adjustments to make their lives more simple to put the kingdom first.

i am meeting a coworker tonight at a coffee shop for a "bible study".
it started out that she was interested in my past and my current questions / viewpoints and we were just going to visit.
now she is referring to it as a "bible study" which implies that she thinks i need to be taught.
The bible = a chronology a past human ignorances,
isn't it wonderful now that mankind has advanced in the knowledge of are selves and the world around us.
i was in service one day and the sister i was working with said," i will start to enjoy life once the new system comes".

basically, she was saying she was miserable but would wait till the new system to have any happiness.

Funny and I like it, even though I don't have this particular disorder
many here have abandoned the bible as "the word of god" and there are numerous reasons for said abandonment.
